Gone are the days of the groom organising the honeymoon and keeping this a secret from his bride, instead this has become a major decision in most couples wedding plans.
Clearly lots of points to consider here – are you after some action and adventure, or in need of a relaxing break after all that hard work that’s gone into planning your big day? Perhaps a mixture of all of the above!
A starting point for organising this romantic once in a lifetime trip should be time of year, budget and the length of time you wish to spend away. The Perfect Wedding Company planners recommend that the first part of your honeymoon (at least!) include some much needed ‘R&R’ – rest and relaxation; as you’re likely to be exhausted after all that’s been going on.
A couple of things to remember – you may need to pack in advance of the wedding day, dependent on when you are leaving and if travelling abroad the brides passport and ticket will need to be in the same name.
