The Wedding Countdown!
Written by Alexia Lenoir
Spring will soon be on our doorstep and we all know what that means, it’s the start of wedding season! We are very excited at The Perfect Wedding Company and have been busy preparing for a plethora of weddings. There is so much to do and so little time, but always remember one simple fact, that this day will be one of the happiest days of your life and you should enjoy every moment of it.
There’s everything to choose from, including small ceremonies at Tower Bridge to grand affairs at Syon Park and we have been working around the clock to ensure the finest details are not missed. To make things easier for our brides and grooms-to-be, we have prepared a checklist to help you both out in the run up to the big day and ensure you keep on top of your planning!
12 – 6 months to go
You will attend a pre-tasting meeting with us to discuss your ideas for catering and the general style of the day.
Menu tasting – at this point we will discuss the dishes that will suit the season and style of your wedding.
Decide upon additional suppliers such as entertainment, photographers and cake makers. We will give you a list of specially selected and trusted suppliers for you to choose from.
5 – 3 months to go
You will receive a first draft function sheet from us, which will outline the basic timings and details for your big day.
We will introduce ourselves to all of your selected suppliers to make sure everything is in place.
Confirm RSVP date.
We will send a plan of the venue and proposed table layout for you to create your table plan.
2 months to go
Inform us of your final numbers and any final information, such as dietary requirements.
Final schedule for the day is put in place.
We will issue a final function sheet breaking down all the final details of the day.
You will be given time to review these details and reconfirm them with us. We will then meet with our Operations Team who will also be looking after you on your day.
The big day!
Your wedding planner will be there on the day to help with the set up and go over the running of the day with the Operations Team for the last time.
We will be there as a point of contact for you until after your first dance.
