Nick Ray Guest Blog – Syon Park Summer Wedding
Guest blog written by Nick Ray, 01.06.16
Syon Park is one of my favourite wedding venues, so I was very happy when Christine and Michael asked me to photograph their big day. The summer wedding ceremony took place in the beautiful Great Hall and continued into the warm summer evening in the spectacular Great Conservatory.
Here is a bit more about the wedding day in their own words:
“We wanted our wedding to represent us – laid back, good fun, but still a beautiful and memorable day full of love and happiness. We were so lucky with the weather; the beginning of the week had been dreary and wet, but on Friday morning it was absolutely perfect. Chickens play a big part of our lives – we have two gorgeous hens at home and whilst we were not allowed to have them with us on the day, we made sure we incorporated them into the decorations. As Christine is a teacher, she was able to put a real DIY spin on the wedding. She did as many things by hand as possible, including the guest favour bags, menus, jam jars and candle lanterns lighting the path to the conservatory. We even enlisted the help of a friend and florist who did all the amazing flowers for the big day. Since we wanted a relaxed wedding, we opted for a buffet for the wedding breakfast from Seasoned Events run by The Perfect Wedding Company to allow guests to wander and help themselves to the lovely food.”
“We are so grateful for Nick’s hard work on the day. He worked tirelessly for the entire day making sure he captured as many of the details and special moments as possible. He showed genuine interest and sensitivity towards all aspects of the day. The photos are stunning and really showed how happy we were – thank you!”
Thanks for the kind words, it was a real pleasure!
